The Original Accumulator Delete Disk.Invented, designed, and manufactured in Ohio this is the original ADD as refined by the Tacoma community. These discs are manufactured by hand on a vintage 1940's Craftsman lathe by the inventor of the ADD, a Tacoma owner and member of the Tacoma community.What is it?
The clutch Accumulator Delete Disk (ADD)/Accumulator Delete Mod (ADM) is designed for Tacoma (2nd and 3rd Gen), Tundra (4.0L), and FJs to improve the feel of the factory clutch.
This device improves clutch feel and engagement by disabling the accumulator in the clutch hydraulic system. The clutch will work exactly as equipped from the factory but will have smoother, more consistent, engagement when releasing the clutch pedal when changing gears. The benefits of the ADM is often discussed on various Tacoma sites and more information can be found by visiting one of the forums ( prevents linking)
This is a direct drop in and requires no modification to the vehicle or accumulator body. This is undetectable without removing the accumulator from the vehicle.
-To install start by removing the accumulator from the vehicle.-Separate the accumulator from the bracket and discard the silver disk and round wire.-Ensure the o-ring is in place and seated in the groove on the accumulator body, put the Accumulator Delete Disk in the accumulator body.- - Place the ADD with the cup and point inward towards the accumulator body. The center point should face and line up with the center hole in the accumulator. The flat side should face out and rest against the bracket (see picture).-Bolt everything back together, bleed the clutch, and be on your way. (Low Viscosity (LV) brake fluid is recommended but not required)-Install should be less than one hour.Designed for MANUAL TRANSMISSIONTacoma's, Tundra's, and FJ's this works if your truck uses the3149060151 or3149035100 accumulator.- This will not fit an automatic transmission.
