The 9ff Fahrzeugtechnik GmbH has decided to produce a limited edition of the GT9 at its location in Dortmund. Based on the Porsche 911 GT3 the GT9 gets a modified version of the 3.6L 6-cylinder twin-turbo engine that produces 973-hp and 711 lb-ft of torque.

BMW Powered Veritas RS III unveiled with 600-hp

Veritas has a very special and significant place in the automotive history. The company, founded by Ernst Lo of, Schorsch Meyer and Lorenz Dietrich, was a famous West German race car company that used the BMW 328 as the basis to build the first ever BMW Veritas. The car won a series of racetrack victories post World War II including 13 German Championships and 20 first place victories.

Being absent from the motor racing and automotive engineering scene for nearly 50 years, Vermont AG has now resurrected the Veritas name for its new RS III - continuing the the success story of the original BMW Veritas.

The Veritas RS III weight only 2,380 pounds and comes in two different variants. First is a 5.0L V8 engine producing 480-hp mated to a manual transmission. 0-62mph comes in 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 204mph. Senner tunes Audi A5 3.0 TDI and gives it 300-hp

While it may be pointless to tune a fuel-efficient diesel version of the Audi A5, more power is never a bad thing - of course unless you’re trying to save some money on gas while still driving a head-turning vehicle. Not to mention Audi doesn’t offer anything to fill the gap between the 265-hp A5 and the 354-hp S5. And that’s where Senner comes in.

Based on the Audi A5 3.0 TDI, Senner engineers have worked up a performance package that increases horsepower from 240-hp to 300-hp with a peak torque of 450 lb-ft. Top speed comes in at 175-hp. Performance is enhanced with a new suspension kit that lowers the A5 by 40 millimeters. Of course, the 37mpg fuel-economy of the A5 3.0 TDI will be jeopardized.

Senner also ads a new body kit with a touch of carbon fiber trims and 21-inch alloy wheels.

More details on the Pininfarina Hyperion

Filed under: Rolls Royce, Tuner Cars

So we’re pretty excited to see what Pininfarina has worked up with this ‘Hyperion’ that they’ve based on the Rolls-Royce Drophead Phantom Coupe. However, the Pebble Beach Concour isn’t until August and we really can’t hold out that long. So after some hunting, we’ve found you some information on this exclusive car that Pininfarina built for some super-rich man that is allowing them to display it at Pebble Beach (that lucky…).

First off, the pre-war inspired car will get a completely new body with ’Hyperion’ badging, which means ‘the God of the sun.’ Wonderful - so what about the power?

According to AutoExpress, the mechanicals of the car will be left completely untouched. That means it’ll be powered by the same 6.75L V12 from the Drophead Coupe pushing 450-hp. 0-60 is still expected to come in under 6 seconds, even with all the body changes. Estimated price tag is £1million (almost $2 million USD).

Cobra Venom V8 Concept: The future of the Cobra

Jamie Frank Martin has come up with a design concept of what the successor to the 1960’s AC/Shelby Cobra could look like. The original Cobra, an instant classic, was based on the Ace roadster by British sports car company AC. Looking for a competitor to the Chevrolet Corvette, Carroll Shelby asked AC to modify the Ace to fit a small block V8 engine.

This new Cobra Venom V8 Roadster concept is said to be the ’spiritual successor’ to the iconic AC/Shelby Cobra and will carry Ford’s new 4.6L supercharged V8 that will produce 524 horsepower with a peak torque of 420 lb-ft. 0-60 is expected to come in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 214mph.

The Cobra Venom V8 Roadster is said to be built on a lightweight aluminum chassis with carbon-fiber body panels. It rides on 17-inch gun-metal cast aluminum wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero “snake tread” tires. Options include a DVD satellite navigation system, HID headlamps with LED front and rear lights.
