“Like its sedan brother the M5, the new M6 models are high-performance sports cars whose exceptional dynamic potential is geared squarely towards the demands of track use,” BMW said in a statement. “At the same time, the M6 sets new benchmarks in daily driving comfort, innovative features and fuel efficiency.”

The four-seat 2013 BMW M6 Coupe and Convertible are both powered by the 4.4 liter high-revving V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo Technology making 560 hp at 5,750 – 7,000 rpm with a maximum torque of 500 lb-ft (680 Nm) between 1,500 and 5,750 rpm. The rev limiter comes in at 7,200 rpm. Mated to a 7-speed M Double Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic, 0 to 62 mph comes in at 4.2 seconds for the coupe and 4.3 seconds for the convertible. 0 to 124 mph takes just 12.6 seconds for the coupe and 13.1 seconds for the drop-top M6. Top speed on both models is limited to 155 mph.

While the output and performance of the 2013 BMW M6 has been pumped up over its predecessors, the new model consumers roughly 30 percent less fuel due to the introduction of new BMW EfficientDynamics technologies including Brake Energy Regeneration and the Auto Start-Stop function.

The BMW M6 Convertible will hit dealerships in June 2012 as a 2012 model year, while the M6 Coupe will arrive in dealerships in the late summer of 2012 as a 2013 model year. Pricing, EPA fuel-economy ratings, standard and optional equipment will be announced at a later date.

Based on the same vehicle platform as the Tesla Model S sedan, the TVP (Tesla Vehicle Platform), the Model X actually turns out to be sport crossover with a low center of gravity and nimble tight handling. Obviously, the torque from the electric power train helps assist in some aggressive lane changes.

The 7-passenger Tesla Model X comes standard in rear-wheel-drive but the company does offer an optional Dual Motor all-wheel-drive architecture. The second motor increases torque by 50% and allows for all-road and all-weather capability. With AWD, the Tesla Model X Performance version can run from 0 to 60 mph in less than 5 seconds – that’s sports car performance right there.

The Tesla Model X will be available with two battery pack versions including a 60 or 85 kWh battery allowing for a range of up to 300 miles (for the 85 kWh model).

Before you get inside the Tesla Model X, it’s the way you open the rear passenger doors that will probably turn some heads. Known as ‘Falcon Doors’ the doors open up and out (even in tight parking spots) allowing you ample room to just step inside the all-electric crossover. Once you’re inside there easy third-row access and quite a bit of room for a total of 7-passengers. The driver seat is the most stylish with a Tesla Touchscreen 17-inch, high-res, multi-touch display and a high-res speedometer right in front.

The Tesla Model X will enter production in late 2013 and will start being delivered in early 2014. When you can order yours? Today, if you’re sold on it. The Model X will be priced comparable to a similarly equipped Model S but the company will give out more details as production nears.

The Audi TT RS Plus is powered a 2.5 liter 5-cylinder turbo engine pumping out 360-hp an increase of 20-hp and a maximum torque of 343 lb-ft. Mated to a manual 6-speed transmission and the 7-speed S tronic automatic – the Audi TT RS Plus runs from 0 to 62 mph in 4.1 seconds with the S tronic (4.4 seconds with the manual. Top speed of the car is limited to 174 mph in both Coupe and Roadster forms.

Stopping power comes from a 4-piston fixed calipers in conjunction with perforated brake disks are installed on the front axle.

What sets the Audi TT RS Plus apart from the TT RS is mostly visual upgrades including a Singleframe radiator grille, diamond-pattern mesh is in highly polished anthracite, a frame with a matt aluminum-look finish, housings of the exterior mirrors made of carbon fiber, dual-branch sport exhaust system with black oval tailpipe trims, sound flap that beefs up the sound of the engine, 19-inch cast wheels wrapped in 255/35 tires and a large rear wing.

No word on whether the Audi TT RS Plus will come to the United States. Sales in German start alter this year with prices for the manual TT RS Plus Coupe carrying a price tag of €60,650 ($80,579 USD) or €62,800 ($83,436 USD) with the seven-speed S tronic . The TT RS plus Roadster has a starting price of €63,500 ($84,366) or €65,650 ($87,222 USD).

BMW of North America has announced pricing details of the new 2013 BMW 640i Gran Coupe, which will hit dealerships early summer. The 2013 640i Gran Coupe will set you back a total of $76,895.

The BMW 640i Gran Coupe will be powered by a 3.0 liter 6-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine making 315-hp at 5,800 to 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 330 lb-ft between 1,300 and 4,500 rpm. That allows 0 to 62 mph to come in just 5.4 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph.

Later in the summer the 2013 BMW 650i Gran Coupe and the all-wheel-drive 650i xDrive Gran Coupe will join the line. Prices of those model will be announced closer to launch date.

After an overwhelming response to the concept, Aston decided to build a strictly limited run of V12 Zagatos – and by strict we mean only 150 units will be produced. starting Q3 2012 (first deliveries Q4 2012). Why only 150? Because creating each Aston Martin V12 Zagato takes about 2,000 man-hours to complete and just like the One-77, it is built from a combination of hand crafted aluminum and carbon fiber. The hood, signature ‘double-bubble’ roof and doors are hand-crafted aluminum, while the front and rear fenders, door sills and trunk lid surrounds are made from carbon fiber.

Power for the production Aston V12 Zagato will come from a 6.0 liter V12 engine making 510-hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. Fitted to a 6-speed manual transmission, the V12 Zagato will go form 0 to 62 mph in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 190 mph.

Pricing for the Aston Martin V12 Zagato will start at £330,000 ($522,652 USD) in the UK.

The 2012 Toyota Prius C will be available in four grades with each carrying a Hybrid Synergy Drive 1.5-liter DOHC engine with VVT-i, a 60 hp permanent magnet AC synchronous motor, and a 144 volt nickel-metal hydride battery which generates 25.9 hp of electric propulsion for a total system net output of 99-hp. Obviously 0 to 60 mph will take you about 2 days but you’ll be managing some strong fuel-economy numbers.

The Price C One comes standard with  automatic climate control, tilt-telescopic steering wheel with audio, climate, multi-information display and Bluetooth hands free phone controls; and remote keyless entry with illuminated entry, a 3.5-inch full color TFT multi-information display and USB port with iPod connectivity.

“The idea was to make the Track’ster tough looking, like a bulldog,” said Tom Kearns, chief designer for KMA. “But the car had to be approachable as well. We wanted to base the car in reality so people instantly knew it was a Soul, but with a lot of attitude. It had to be a bold interpretation that would change people’s conceptions of what a sporty Kia could be.”

“Mission accomplished,” Kia says – and mission accomplished indeed.

Besides its bold and aggressive looks with an eye-catching White and Inferno Orange exterior, Kia Track’ster features a grille with air intake slit trimmed in lightweight carbon fiber.  It also gets LED driving lights with aluminum surrounds, 14-inch Brembo brakes, a ‘backpack’ panel that accentuates the Track’ster’s 75.5-inch width, which is more than 5-inches wider than a production Soul.

Power for the Kia Track’ster comes from a 2.0 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 250-hp – 66 percent more than the production model. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission which helps transfer power to all four wheels.

Kia says that it has no current plans to produce the Track’ster. “Concept cars are icing on the cake,” said Kearns. “They allow KMA’s design team to dream about what could be. Whether that dream becomes a reality or not is a separate question.”

However, if you make a lot of noise Kia will hear you.

“With an award-winning combination of space, capability and fuel-efficiency, Acadia epitomizes GMC’s ‘never say never’ attitude,” said Tony DiSalle, U.S. vice president of GMC Marketing. “For 2013, our engineers and designers applied that same attitude to developing the new Acadia.”

While things have been upgraded inside out, the GMC Acadia keeps its interior roominess and functionality – including the popular SmartSlide seating system that allows easy access to the third row. The second and third row still fold completely flat allowing for class-leading cargo space.

The exterior of the 2013 Acadia has been completely redesigned and I think it looks quite amazing. The front fascia has a more chiseled and prominent look with premium looking LED running headlamps. The rear also gets some nice touches including a G shaped taillamp.

On the inside, the 2013 GMC Acadia gets an upgraded material with soft-touch materials, stitching and red ambient lighting. It seems GMC has finally received its own interior rather than sharing the same one from the Enclave and other GM brand trucks. The interior of the new Acadia also gets something called GMC’s Color Touch Radio, which was first seen on the 2012 Terran. The feature is now standard in the Acadia with available IntelliLink for Bluetooth and iPod connectivity.

The GMC Acadia Denali gets a totally upgraded interior with perforated leather seating and Denali-specific Cocoa Dune upholstery color, leather-wrapped steering wheel with wood inserts and power tilt/telescope, heated and cooled front seats, accent lighting in footwells and lighted sill plates with Denali logo, color Touch navigation and dual SkyScape sunroof system, with sliding front sunroof and fixed rear section. Optional on the base Acadia but standard on the Denali are some strong safety features including Side Blind Zone and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

So all that stuff is new but what about the powertrain choices? Unfortunately, no – and that may not be a bad thing. The 2013 GMC Acadia keeps its 3.6 liter V6 making 288 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, the 2013 Acadia returns an EPA estimated fuel-economy of 17/24 mpg (city/highway) for the FWD model and 16/23 for the AWD.

Most of the coupe’s exterior resembles the Elantra sedan, buy takes the brand’s ‘Fluidic Sculpture’ design theme to a sportier design language.

Power comes from the 1.8 liter 4-cylinder in the Elantra sedan, which pumps out 148-hp and 131 lb-ft of torque. Mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic, the Hyundai Elantra Coupe manages an estimated fuel-economy of 29/40 mpg (city/highway) and 28/49 mpg (automatic). That enables the Elantra Coupe to return a highway driving range of up to 500 whopping miles and makes it more fuel-efficient than the Civic Coupe and Kia Koup.

Inside, the story is pretty much the same as the Elantra sedan in terms of technology options and features, however, roominess is sacrificed. Nonetheless, the interior volume comes in at 110.2 cubic feet,which exceeds the 2012 Honda Civic Coupe and 2012 Kia Forte Koup by quite a lot.

“Elantra GT is a fun-to-drive, functional, five-door compact hatchback,” said Mike O’Brien, vice president, Product and Corporate Planning, Hyundai Motor America. “Elantra GT is the latest example of how Hyundai is redefining the compact car and setting new standards in automotive design, efficiency and functionality.”

Hyundai says that the new 2013 Elantra GT will compete with the Ford Focus, Mazda3, Volkswagen Golf and will offer more interior space and fuel-economy than its competitors. It also weighs the least out of the bunch at just 2,784 pounds (with an automatic) - 175 pounds lighter than Focus, 151 pounds lighter than Mazda3 and 222 pounds lighter than Golf.

Power for the Elantra GT comes from the same 1.8 liter 4-cylinder engine as the Elantra sedan. The engine pumps out 148 horsepower and 131 lb-ft of torque. Mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic, the 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT averages an estimated 28/39 mpg (city/highway).

“The Shelby GT500 convertible is every bit the performer that the coupe is,” said Kerry Baldori, SVT Global Performance Vehicles chief engineer. “All of the significant changes we made in the program were instrumental in delivering a convertible that could really shine on the track but can still be driven on a daily basis.”

Power comes from the same 5.8 liter supercharged V8 engine making 650-hp with a maximum torque of 600 lb-ft – stopping power comes from a strong set of Brembo brakes. That helped the Shelby GT500 convertible with the optional Performance Package shave nearly 3.5 seconds off its lap time at the Sebring International Raceway. Like the coupe, the Ford Shelby GT500, the Performance Package can be upgraded to a Track Package, complete with an external engine oil cooler, rear differential cooler and transmission cooler for further durability.

How fast will it go from 0 to 60 mph and what will be the top speed? Well, Ford didn’t release that info so stay tuned for more.

“First-time luxury buyers tend to place a high value on exterior styling, affordability and environmental issues, and that’s what we have created with the new Acura ILX,” said Jon Ikeda, head of the Acura Design Studio. “The strategy behind this new model is to position ILX as the first opportunity for many young buyers to enter the luxury market.”

Power for the 2013 Acura ILX comes from three powertrain choices including the brand’s first-ever gas-electric hybrid. The base model features a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine making 150 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 140 lb-ft of torque at 4,300 rpm. Mated to a Sequential SportShift 5-speed automatic transmission, the ILX 2.0L returns an EPA estimated 24/32 mpg (city/highway). For those that want more power, the Acura ILX also comes with a 2.4 liter 4-clyinder making 201-hp at 7,000 rpm and 170 lb-ft torque at 4,300 rpm. Mated to a close-ratio, 6-speed manual transmission, the ILX 2.4L will deliver an EPA estimated 20/29 mpg.

The 2013 Acura ILX Hybrid features Honda’s 1.5 liter engine and the Integrated Motor Assist electric motor. Fuel to the 20-hp electric-motor comes from a lithium-ion battery pack. Working together, the system produces 111-hp at 5,500 rpm and 127 lb-ft between 1,000-3,000 rpm. Mated to a CVT transmission, the Acura ILX 1.5L Hybrid averages a nice 35/38 mpg.

Interior features includes a standard Keyless Access System with smart entry and push-button start, along with Pandora internet radio interface and SMS text message function. Buyers can opt for a Premium Package and the Technology Package. The Premium Package gives you leather heated seats, an upgraded 360 watt stereo system, a rear view camera and an Active Sound Cancellation system to make for a quieter cabin. The Technology Package adds an ELS Surround audio system, AcuraLink Satellite Communication System, Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition, AcuraLink Real-Time Traffic with Traffic Rerouting and AcuraLink Real-Time Weather with radar image maps. There is also an onboard 60GB hard drive.

The 2.3 liter 4-cylider turbo in the Acura RDX has been dropped for a new 3.5 liter V6 making 273-hp. Mated to a new 6-speed automatic transmission, the 2013 RDX gets EPA estimated fuel-economy of 20/28 mpg (city/highway) for the front-wheel-drive model and 19/27 mpg for the all-wheel-drive model.

The 2013 Acura RDX rides on a 4-wheel independent suspension with a MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspension design.

Design wise, Acura has added some subtle design changes to the outside for the 2013 model year. On the inside, the RDS gets a matte surface finish, Active SOund Control, more passenger room, larger door openings and an available power rear lift gate.

Tech wise, the 2013 RDX gets a host of new features including Pandora internet radio interface, SMS text message feature, a Keyless Access System with smart entry and pushbutton start, and a three view rear camera. There is also an optional Technology Package that gives you Acura ELS Surround audio system, AcuraLink Satellite Communication System, Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition, AcuraLink Real-Time Traffic with Traffic Rerouting, and AcuraLink Real-Time Weather with radar image maps. The 2013 Nissan NISMO 370Z gets an upgraded 3.7 liter DOHC V6 engine matched to a H-configured exhaust system, muffler tuning and an upgraded ECM – helping it pump out 350-hp and 276 lb-ft of torque. The NISMO is only available with a 6-speed manual.

Mazda has finally announced pricing on its new 2013 CX-5 5-passenger compact crossover, which is currently on its way to dealerships with the company’s first full suite of SkyActiv technologies.

Prices start at $20,695 for the base model with a SkyActiv-MT 6-speed manual transmission. it comes standard with Sport trim, 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels wrapped with 225/65R17 Yokohama all-season tires, daytime running lights (DRL), power side view mirrors, automatic headlight shutoff, body-colored outside mirrors with turn lamps, door handles, a roof spoiler and a color-keyed shark fin antenna. On the inside you get Black or Sand Beigh cloth seating, push-button start, power windows with driver’s side one-touch auto open/close, cruise control, a tilt and telescopic steering wheel, steering-wheel-mounted audio and cruise control functions, air conditioning, a four-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3-compatible radio with Automatic Level Control (ALC) as well as auxiliary and USB connection ports. All that is standard.

The 2013 Mazda CX-5 Touring model gets all the above as standard and adds fog lamps, upgraded cloth seats, a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, rearview camera, an upgraded 6-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3-compatible radio, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, steering- wheel-mounted audio, Bluetooth and cruise controls, a Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) system as well as a rear-seat armrest with cup holders. SKYACTIV-Drive automatic becomes standard on Touring models. Prices start at $23,895 for the front-wheel-drive and $25,145 for the all-wheel-drive.

Buyers can add the Moonroof/Bose and Technology Package to the Touring model for $1,130. The 2013 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring basically adds everything above and gets 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels, leather heated front seats, and an 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat. Prices for the 2013 Mazda CX-5 start at $27,045 for the FWD and $28,295 for the AWD. Buyers can add the Technology package for $1,325 – adding a TomTom navigation, bi-xenon headlamps – adaptive and Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry.

Power for the 2013 Mazda CX-5 comes from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that puts out 155-hp and 150 lb-ft of torque. EPA rated fuel-economy comes in at 26/35 mpg (city/highway).

At the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz will be unveiling the new 2013 A-Class hatchback. A video footage of the car was caught and uploaded on YouTube while it was undergoing a photo shoot in the Canary Islands.

Mercedes-Benz has made no comment on the video but as you can see, the car seems pretty close the concept version that was shown at the 2011 New York Auto Show.

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class will go on sale later this year in Europe and will come to the stateside early next year.

While Chrysler or its SRT Brand CEO Ralph Gilles won’t say much about the upcoming Viper, the company did drop a teaser today giving us our very first look at the new model (which will be branded as an SRT vehicle and not a Dodge).

The new 2013 Viper will enter production at the company’s Conner Avenue Assembly plant later this year. Production of the previous Dodge Viper ended in 2010.

Aston Martin released some news stating that they’ll be debuting their first production version of the much-anticipated V12 Zagato coupe. The debut is scheduled for the 2012 Kuwait Concours d’Elegance next month.

“We are excited to show the new V12 Zagato for the first time in production form at the Kuwait Concours d’Elegance,” said Aston Martin’s CEL, Dr. Ulrich Bez. “Over 50 years since the introduction of the iconic DB4GT Zagato, Aston Martin and Zagato have collaborated to create this modern interpretation which remains true to the original focus of craftsmanship, performance and exclusivity.”

Powering the Aston Martin V12 Zagato is the brand’s infamous 6.0L V12 that’s good for 510hp and 420 lb-ft of twist. Separating the V12 Zagato from other V12 Aston Martins is famous design firm, Zagato’s, own cues and language along with a very unique interior.

Aston Martin will be making only 150 of these unique models, which fetch a hefty price of just £330,000 GBP. So if you’re looking to scoop one of these up, better get one soon.
