Video: Holy crap, they actually made one, first 2017 Acura NSX rolls off assembly line

Believe it or not, Acura officially produced their first NSX. No really, they did it. It’s not a “near-production” model or a prototype, or a test mule. It is, the actual, #001, 2017 Acura NSX, and it rolled off the assembly line a few days ago in Marysville, Ohio.

Despite feeling like old news, the 2017 Acura NSX is still a relevant topic as the first one naturally fetched a hefty price of $1.2 million, after being auctioned off at the Barrett-Jackson show earlier this year. That’s quite a premium over the NSX’s MSRP of $156,000. The winning bid was placed by Rick Hendrick, with all proceeds going to Camp Southern Ground and the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.

As a refresher, the 2017 Acura NSX comes with an all-new DOHC 75-degree 3.5L V6 and a nine-speed DCT dual-clutch automatic, which is then assisted by an aft-mounted direct-drive electric motor, netting a total of 573hp.
