Report: The Italian Carabinieri gain an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio for the fleet

Fancy cars have a way of finding themselves serving duty in various police forces around the world. For instance, we know Dubai’s police love parading around in some of the world’s most expensive supercars.

The Italians like to do it up too, with the Italian State Police receiving a Lamborghini Huracan as a donation. Now, they can add the hot new Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio to the list, specifically for the Carabinieri. And boy, does it look great in police livery.

Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles’ CEO, Sergio Marchionne, along with colleague, John Elkann, introduced the new police car earlier today.

As such, it comes equipped with the Giulia Quadrifoglio’s 503hp V6 and a six-speed manual. The Giulia Quadrifoglio joins the Carabinieri’s fleet of Lotus Evoras as well.

“Why though?” you might ask. Well, the Carabinieri might need to get somewhere in a hurry…and they’re known to escort VIPs and do things like deliver organs…or something.

Two examples of the Giulia QV will be provided, while FCA will also give some Alfa Giuliettas, Jeep Renegades, and Fiat Panda 4x4s to give them some flexibility.
