The 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid gets updated with some mid-cycle changes

Honda officially announced the full details of the 2017 Accord Hybrid sedan after it took a hiatus for one year. Now, it’s back and it’s better than ever and new and improved!

So, what’s new for the 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid?

Other than the usual exterior and interior visual changes, the new Accord Hybrid gains Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard. The powertrain has also been tweaked to provide more power and slightly improved fuel efficiency. The system overall also has been tweaked to provide full-EV capabilities for short distances and light throttle modes.

What provides motivation is a 2.0L Atkinson-Cycle four-banger mated to a two-motor hybrid setup, to produce a total of 212hp. Fuel economy ratings are pegged at 49 city / 47 highway / 48 combined mpg.

This means the 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid is more powerful than Toyota Camry Hybrid and the Ford Fusion Hybrid. It’s also more powerful than both.

The new 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid will be launched in the coming months.
