Just as we’re wrapping up the week of the 2016 New York International Auto Show, it seems the show wasn’t going to end without its fair bit of drama.

All seemed to be going well for renowned freelance automotive photographer, Anthony Purcell of Halcyon Photo, who was working in the DUB section at the Javits Center, conducting his usual routine until something swayed his attention.

“No idea what happened, heard the car being moved and out of nowhere a super loud bang and lawd (sic) Jesus it’s a fire,” Purcell noted as he was caught by surprise during a photoshoot.

UPDATED w/ video after the jump

Details are limited right now as Purcell also noted that everyone was kicked out of the section as crews, and likely the FDNY, closed in on the minor blaze.

So far, no injuries or fatalities have been reported, except the loss of a seemingly rare and modded Porsche 993 Turbo.

Please take a moment of silence while we mourn the loss of a beloved air-cooled 993.

We hope everyone’s OK.
