The North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year finalists announced in Detroit

It’s coming to the end of 2015 already (believe it or not) and it’s also that time of year, auto show season! It’s also the season when the North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year finalists are announced, and that’s just what happened.

Fighting for the almighty marketing award for the car is the Honda Civic, the Mazda MX-5 and Chevrolet Malibu while the Truck/Utility finalists involve the Honda Pilot, the Nissan Titan XD, and the Volvo XC90.

The winners will be announced after a panel involving 53 automotive journalists from Canada and the United States occurs between now and the North American International Auto Show. The jurors will reportedly stick to some new “benchmarks in their segments for innovation, design, safety, handling, driver satisfaction, and value.”

The date for the announcement of the winners is set for January 11th.
