Although the Alfa Romeo Giulia isn’t quite new, the US-spec version kind of is and it was just revealed in full at the 2015 Los Angeles International Auto Show, and here it is in pictures as it sits on the floor of the LA Convention Center.
Similarly to the European version, the Giulia is ready to take on the likes of the BMW 3-Series, the Audi A4, Jaguar XE, and so-on directly, all in attempt to make decision-making a little bit harder when it comes to figuring out which one to buy.
It’s also a crucial car for Alfa Romeo if they want to reestablish themselves as a competitive automaker in the world, especially with their reintroduction into the US market.
It will first be sold in top-spec, high-performance Quadrifoglio guise, the version designed to compete with the BMW M3. This includes the Ferrari-sourced twin-turbo 2.9L all-aluminum V6 with 505hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a six-speed automatic, it’ll sprint to 60 in just 3.8 seconds
With the reveal of the US version of the Quadrigoflio also comes the normal Giulia, with a 2.0L MultiAir2 turbocharged four-banger, with 276hp.
