Report: Lamborghini to supposedly reveal new rear-wheel drive Huracan at LA

The 2015 Los Angeles International Auto Show is just around in the corner, due to happen next week. That said, AutoCar in the UK reports of a possible new arrival from Lamborghini, and it could be of the Huracan type.

The Lamborghini Huracan has been with us for a year or so and it’s about time other variants to the model begin to surface, especially since the Spyder was recently launched not too long ago.

According to the latest report, a new high-spec rear-wheel drive Huracan is due for a reveal in Los Angeles, following the Gallardo’s trend of featuring various versions, with a few configurations ditching the heavy and complex all-wheel drive system for a simpler, more sport-oriented rear-wheel drive setup, like the LP 550-2.

Because of the elimination of the standard Huracan’s all-wheel system, a weight reduction is also expected with the supposed new rear-wheel drive variant, along with a slight power bump from the naturally-aspirated 5.2L V10.

The usual mixture of more aggressive bodywork, suspension tuning and brakes are also expected to be apart of the package, in addition to limited availability.
