Report: The Dodge Viper could be slain in 2017 w/ poll

Mopar enthusiast site, Allpar, reports of some sad news indicating the Dodge Viper could be sentenced by death by 2017.

Mopar’s supercar hasn’t been a huge sales success, for reasons unknown to us, because it’s an astonishingly amazing car for the money. In fact, sales have been so slow, production was ceased on a number of accounts due to a surplus of cars. And should the trend continue, the market could prove to be in favor of a death sentence.

So far, Allpar is unaware of a successor to the Viper given the take rate has been so slow.

Would you be sad to see the Viper go six-feet under? We damn well would, along with its epic naturally-aspirated 8.4L V10 with 645hp and 600 lb-ft of torque.
