Some exciting news from Jeremy “Jezza” Clarkson as he just tweeted one exciting bit of news on his Twitter feed regarding his new show with co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May. With the arrival of their new show on Amazon, the trio will finally be able to conduct one of the most coveted tests as of recent: the LaFerrari vs. the Porsche 918 Spyder vs. the McLaren P1.
When the LaFerrari, Porsche 918 Spyder, and McLaren P1 were all hot and fresh off the press (they’re still hot), Top Gear UK attempted to try and get all three at the Top Gear Test Track in order to do a world-famous track test of each car against each other. Being the absolute pinnacles of road-going hypercars, this was a test everyone was waiting to see.
However, Ferrari refused to give up an example of the LaFerrari to test in an effort of political policing, as in, they were too afraid to lay it all on the table for competition, despite the reputation they established, leading up to the LaFerrari’s existence.
Top Gear’s production team was in the midst of finding some privately owned examples of the cars to be used for the competition, but during the process, Clarkson decided to get angry and punched a producer, leading to his termination and the end of the project. So the whole thing on Top Gear’s front was sacked
But thanks to Clarkson and gang’s new team and playing field, it seems this they’ll finally be able to see who reigns superior, once and for all.
