Report: Mazda’s executive reportedly confirms arrival of rotary-powered concept for Tokyo

Dutch publication, Autovisie, reports Mazda’s executive officially confirmed the pending arrival of a new rotary-powered concept at the Tokyo Motor Show, finally laying to rest rumors that Mazda’s famous rotary-engine projects were put six-feed under.

Specifics were of course withheld as Mazda CEO, Masahiro Moro simply responded with, “stay tuned.” But either way, Mazda released a teaser of said sports car, which clearly looks like a successor to the last rotary sports coupe, the Mazda RX-8.

So as Mr. Moro said, stay tuned. We’re just as excited about this one as you likely are.
