Report: The 2017 Ford GT to churn out 630hp and 539 lb-ft of twist…?

Even though the all-new, drop-dead sexy Ford GT took a bow at the North American International Auto Show earlier this year, Ford remained coy on details regarding technical specifications.

But thanks to the launch of the all-new sixth installment to the Forza Motorsport videogame racing simulator series for Microsoft XboxOne, the 2017 Ford GT made its premiere in the digital realm as well, boasting 630hp and 539 lb-ft of torque in virtual reality.

Perhaps that’s indicative of the new Ford GT’s real-world power output?

Ford was nice enough to tell us that the new GT ditches its original supercharged V8 for a 3.5L EcoBoost V6, but without any official power figures. That said, these figures from Forza should also be taken with grain of salt since Dearborn still has yet to publish the official figures.

Either way, it gives us a basic idea. And if there’s one thing we can’t dispute, the new Ford GT will be batshit insane fast regardless.
