Report: Cadillac is actually working on an Escalade V apparently with 600hp

General Motors’ top brass isn’t apparently happy that their counterparts in Auburn Hills are making one seriously high-performance, high-end Jeep Grand Cherokee “Hellcat” version, dubbed the Trackhawk, becauseĀ MotorTrend reports Caddy is preparing an Escalade V with around 600hp. As if fuel economy on the Escalade wasn’t bad enough…

According to the report, Cadillac’s seeking to shove GM’s 6.2L supercharged V8 from the Chevy Corvette Z06 and Cadillac CTS-V into the Escalade, though in the Z06, that mill produces 650hp while the CTS-V produces 640hp. Either way, they aren’t down on power by any means.

Should this rumor hold to be true, the Escalade V could show up at the 2016 New York Auto Show with a price of around $88,000 for the most bonkers Escalade ever.
