Report: Drop top Lamborghini Huracan Spyder confirmed for a reveal at Frankfurt

Dutch media reports of a new convertible due at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. Great news!

What is it? The new Lamborghini Huracan Spyder, according to Telegraaf’s Autovisie. Originally, the Huracan Spyder was anticipated to surface at the Geneva Auto Show in March of 2016, but that seems to be false after a “company official” spoke to the outlet.

There’s not much more to expect from the Huracan Spyder other than the fact that it’ll be a normal Huracan with its head chopped off and some slight tweaking to compensate for the lack of a fixed roof.

Power shall otherwise be provided by the same naturally-aspirated 5.2L V10 powering the hardtop version, with around 605hp and 413 lb-ft of twist, mated to a seven speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive.
