Report: The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Verde to place as BMW M competitor

The new Alfa Romeo Giulia is turning out to be one of the sexiest reveals of this year yet and we simply can’tr wait to get our hands on one.

Though one thing’s for sure is that the version of the Giulia that debuted the model overall won’t be the one that everyone will be driving around in, according to Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles Australia’s CEO, Pat Dougherty.

Dougherty confirmed to CARAdvice that the introductory model was the high-performance Quadrifoglio Verde version, or the version being built to compete against the BMW M3 and the Mercedes-AMG C63 Sedan.

This means they’re also repositioning the name of the sub-brand, similarly to how M is to BMW and AMG is to Mercedes. So that means the smaller Giulietta and MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde versions will lose their QV designations.
