Report: Next-gen Audi A7 to have more of a normal arse

Automobile recently received the scoop on some details regarding the next-generation Audi A7.

According to the report, current and prospective buyers of the Audi A7 apparently are having a hard time accepting the “radical tail of the A7,” which is one of the car’s sole defining characteristics, at least visually and aesthetically.

That said, we’re told to expect “a lower, wider, and more expressive shape” with the A7, and a much more toned down arse. But we like rounded arses, especially the one on the A7–that’s what makes the car unique.

Automobile however was coy on specifics as to what we should further expect from the A7. Despite this, we bet money that we can expect a lot of design cues from the Prologue Concept to influence the aesthetic look of the next-generation A7. That said, further speculation points to the incorporation of Audi’s latest digital gauge cluster, as found on the Audi TT, along with the latest in Heads-Up Display technology with nightvision, and Audi’s latest version of their MMI infotainment interface.

Power wise, we should also expect the usual range of gasoline and diesel four and six cylinders, with the V8 being left to serve duty in the RS7.
