Infiniti confirms the reveal of the production Q30 Concept

Infiniti’s been known to be working on a production version of their Q30 Concept, which is designed and being built to compete with the likes of the Audi A3, the new BMW 1-Series, and the Mercedes-Benz A-Class and to a lesser extent, the Buick Verano, and the Acura ILX.

Now, the Japanese automaker officially confirmed to be readying the model for a reveal at the Frankfurt Auto Show later this year, in September.

The new Q30 sits on Infiniti’s latest and newest front-wheel drive platform and the idea here is that the Q30 will be Infiniti’s entry-level model. Accompanying the Q30 would be the QX30, which is a crossover version built on the same platform.

Not much else is known, but speculation suggests the power and drivetrains will be lifted from Mercedes-Benz amid Daimler’s and Renault-Nissan’s partnership to share resources and parts.
