It’s Official: Chris Evans is the next host of Top Gear UK on BBC

After many rumors, reports of speculation and unsubstantiated limbs, the BBC officially broke the ice to announce the new host of Top Gear UK: current BBC Radio 3 host Chris Evans.

Evans’ co-presenters weren’t announced in the statement, however Evans is no stranger to the program period, after being a Star in a Reasonably Priced Car and completing the challenge as the sixth fastest celebrity around the Top Gear Test Track.

In addition to the announcement of Evans’ new role, the BBC also announced that the final episode of Top Gear UK with Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond as host will air on Sunday, June 28.
