Fisker’s readying a new customer support program, prepares to relaunch

Remember Fisker Automotive? The ill-fated start-up of luxury plug-in hybrid automobiles, beginning with the 2012 Fisker Karma?

Well, they might just be making a comeback as the automaker officially announced to be establishing a new customer support program for all current owners of the Fisker.

As a part of the new roll-out with the 15 authorized providers in the United States and Canada, Fisker’s new program grants owners up to $2,000 worth of parts and labor, free of charge. Original owners are also entitles to an additional $2,000 in parts and $1,000 for labor, which is a solid piece of mind, given the Karma’s known high-fire risk.

The program should remain active until January of 2016 or until the funds are depleted.

No word on what Fisker has planned for the future, but all we know is the automaker is still in the midst of being restructured after being bought by Chinese auto-parts giant, Wanxiang Group last year.
