Report: Bentley to reveal a new hard-edged rear-wheel drive sports coupe next year

AutoCar reports Bentley is going to reveal a new high-performance rear-wheel drive sports coupe next year.

The new sports car is said to be based off of the Continental GT, rather than the new EXP-10 Speed Six Concept from Geneva. That could only mean the Continental GT3-R is most likely going to be the starting point for the news model.

However, unlike the GT3-R, which is all-wheel drive, the new one will be rear-wheel drive only.

Go-power should be provided by a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 with power rated at around 572hp while weighing in just 440lbs lighter than the GT3-R.

Production is expected to be very limited.
