Report: Ferrari’s issuing a service bulletin for fuel tank issues on the LaFerrari

Dutch publication AutoBlog.nl originally reported that Ferrari was issuing a recall for all 499 units of the LaFerrari over fire risk concerns with the fuel tank. This doesn’t at all seem out of character for Ferrari, an Italian automaker–and we all know Italian cars tend to spontaneously combust or catch fire, it’s just the nature of their beasts.

But a new report from AutoCar clarified that Ferrar was not issuing a recall, but rather a “fuel tank upgrade,” which requires around eight hours of labor per car to complete. Ferrari officially said they aren’t treating this as “an official recall” and owners should not be worried about any potential fire risks…

Yea, ok…
