Audi has a big event due in September–the reveal of the next-generation A4 at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September.
The new model will be entering its ninth generation, colloquially named the B9 A4, which is a pretty big story considering the A4 is one of Audi’s most popular selling models.
It’ll be built on Audi’s new MLB platform allowing for a big weight reduction when compared to the current model. It’ll also grow in size to give the A3 sedan more breathing room, minimizing model overlap.
Expect the usual range of gasoline and diesel turbocharged four-bangers with an all-new nine-speed automatic and optional six-speed manual.
The sedan should be launched first, followed by a wagon. The coupe and convertible versions, also known as the A5, are to come after, along with an all-new RS4 and even a Sportback model.
