Report: BMW wants a Z4 successor to come before 2020

Rumors a plenty have been floating about regarding a new Z4 roadster to replace the current and aging model.

However, plans for the new Z4 replacement have been up in the air and at this point, nobody has the slightest clue as to when a Z4 replacement will happen and what will come of it.

The last we heard, BMW teamed up with Toyota not only for a new midsize sports coupe (which we’re still waiting for), but for a convertible as well. By logical deduction, the only convertible possible that came to mind would be a replacement Z4.

According to other rumors, the name also is expected to be changed to Z5 rather than Z4. Production is speculated to launch around 2017 with both a BMW and Toyota version.
