Report: Is Porsche already working on a more intense Cayman GT4?

Word in the pipeline via Evo is that Porsche might be pursuing an even more bonkers Cayman beyond the all-new GT4 from Geneva. What does this exactly mean? It means there could be a chance for a GT4 RS.

“This is just the beginning of the era. I would be interested in doing a Cayman GT4 RS version, but at the moment we didn’t even talk about such a thing,” said Porsche’s Andreas Preuninger, to Evo. “If the customers call for something like this we could think about it.”

Of course, he didn’t say much more, but like the 911 the Cayman follows, it only makes sense for Porsche to do the same upgrades to their line of sports cars.

But then again, a Cayman that’s as fast as a 911, if not faster, is a bit of a political no-no. So it’ll be interesting to see how they’ll proceed.
