Video: The Mercedes-Benz G500 gets some moving picture time

Not too long ago, Mercedes-Benz revealed a new version of the Gelandewagen, following rumors of a much more toned down version of the G63 AMG 6×6.

The result is the G500 4×4², which is a shorter G63 6×6 with the traditional 4×4 setup, but beefier suspension and wheels, all of which gear the G500 4×4² towards the affluent and extreme off-roader.

Some of the upgrades include redesigned front and rear bumpers, carbon fiber body bits, a roof-mounted LED bar, 22-inch wheels with dead-serious off-road tires, and side-exiting exhaust. There’s also added under body plating to shave off any rocks.

Power is supplied by the same 4.0L twin-turbo V8 from the Mercedes-AMG GT and the C63 AMG.
