Report: Porsche’s Tesla Model S competitor gets detailed

Porsche’s been rumored to be working on a new Tesla Model S competitor and now, CAR Magazine learned the new model could be called the 717.

But furthermore, the new EV should ride on a new MSB platform cooperatively developed with Porsche’s partners, either Audi or Volkswagen. The result is basically a four-door 911 with four-seats and an all-EV platform. Or, you can also just think of it as a Panamera EV.

The electric propulsion system should consist of two electric motors, both making 400hp and 600hp each, resulting in torque vectoring all-wheel drive an an induction charging system.

When should we most likely expect it? 2019, says CAR.
