Lotus reveals the fastest and most powerful model ever and it’s an Evora

Lotus is working on a new line of cars but first, they’re bringing a new Evora to Geneva. it’s called the Lotus Evora 400 and it’s the fastest and most powerful Lotus ever.

Other than the obvious change with bodywork such as the larger and more aggressive air ducts, the new LED daytime running lights, and larger front and rear diffusers, the Lotus Evora 400 also features upgrades under the skin.

The Toyota-sourced supercharged 3.5L V6 is massaged to produce 400hp and 302 lb-ft of torque mated to a six-speed manual or automatic. The result is a 0-60 time of just 4.1 seconds and lap time that’s about six seconds faster around Lotus’ Hethel test track than the previous fastest Evora.

This also comes thanks to a bunch of suspension, steering, and chassis tweaks and a weight reduction by 48lbs. There’s also a standard limited-slip differential and larger brakes.

The Lotus Evora 400 goes into production later this summer and North America should be getting their examples in fall of 2016.
