Report: Ford downplays any possibility for a Focus RS sedan or wagon

Ford’s making waves at the moment following the introduction of their new Ford Performance branch, ultimately leading to the reveal of the all-new Ford F150 Raptor, the Ford GT, and the new Focus RS–a near-future product offensive that has the brand scheduled to launch at least twelve new models over the next few years.

However, if you were hoping one or two of those new twelve models would result in a Ford Focus RS sedan or wagon, you’d be gravely disappointed. According to a new report by InAutoNews, who spoke with Ford sources, there’s no plan to introduce a sedan or wagon variant of the Focus RS. That said, you can only get Ford’s hottest Focus in five-door hatchback form.

But if you still wanted a somewhat hot Focus in wagon form, you can still opt for the Focus ST wagon if you’re in Europe.
