Kia teases a new Optima, heads to Geneva for a worldly debut

Kia is gearing up for a considerable reveal at the 2015 Geneva Auto Show next month. Confirming this reveal is the release of a new teaser for the all-new next generation Kia Optima, which is sold around the world and here in North America.

The current Optima helped catapult the brand into competitiveness in the midsize sedan segment, proving that Kia is more than capable at producing a solid midsize four-door. And now, Kia obviously wants to take it to the next level.

Being the 11th concept to be designed from the brand’s European studio, led by the famous Peter Schreyer, formerly from Audi, the new Optima appears to promise more good looks, especially since the current Optima already is an aesthetically attractive car.

Not much else is known, but here in America, the Optima comes with the choice of a 2.4L naturally-aspirated Hyundai-sourced four with 192hp and 181 lb-ft on tap, while a larger, more powerful 2.0L turbo four with 274hp and 269 lb-ft, also from Hyundai, is available as well.
