Report: Volvo’s S60 Cross Country to be limited in production

Volvo recently spoke with CARandDRIVER, where they disclosed some new information regarding their new S60 Cross Country from the 2015 Detroit Auto Show last month.

Speaking with Lex Kerssemakers, word is Sweden’s new soft-roader S60 is going to be limited in production when it launches here in the US. The S60 Cross Country was designed and intended for underdeveloped countries with rougher climates, such as Russia and India. Volvo’s just opting to sell it here to help maximize sales. But they don’t exactly expect many to happen here.

As a result, the S60 Cross Country is more of a test to see how well it will sell here in the US. But as of now, only 500 units are to be imported here in the US with the choice of two colors and in one specified form.
