Report: A Ford Fiesta RS could happen

Ok, so we know Ford likes to do hot hatches–the Focus ST, the Fiesta ST, and the once Europe only Focus RS, are prime examples (the next-gen Focus RS will be come stateside for the first time ever!).

But that’s not all Ford wants to do as AutoCar recently learned the Dearborn automaker’s European division and the Ford Performance team are looking to RS-ify the Fiesta. AutoCar sat down with Ford Performance’s manager, Tyrone Johnson, who said that a faster, more high-performance version of the Fiesta is on the way. But as usual, Johnson didn’t confirm what model it would be.

Either way, Ford Performance promised to launch a total of 12 new models by 2020 and a faster Fiesta could be one of these new cars.
