Video: Watch Nissan discreetly reveal the 2016 Maxima in their Super Bowl commercial

While you were probably refilling your beverage, taking a leak, or stocking back up on Buffalo wings before returning to watch the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots battle it out, Nissan launched their big Super Bowl spotlight with their new commercial. And if you happen to catch it, not only did you get a truck load of the feels, but you also got a glimpse of the next-generation 2016 Nissan Maxima.

With what view we’ve been able to snag, it’s obvious the Maxima is based off of the Nissan Sport Sedan Concept from the 2014 Detroit Auto Show last year. And depending on your opinion on the new design, it could be a good or a bad thing that the Maxima very closely resembles the concept.

If you may happen to be one of those who think the new Maxima is a bit aesthetically challenged, at least the new Maxima continues to prove that mainstream mundane sedans don’t have to be…uhm…mundane.

Check out the spot after the jump.
