Report: The new 2016 Chevrolet Malibu to feature Corvette-like styling

Edmunds reports the new 2016 Chevrolet Malibu should get styling that’s heavily influenced by the current C7 Corvette, after speaking with GM’s current Vice President of Design, Ed Welburn.

The current Chevrolet Malibu, although not an ugly car by any means, isn’t the most striking either and can come off as rather bland. But with the new generation of Malibu, that’s bound to change.

One of the clues Welburn was able to share was the inclusion of taillights modeled after the Corvette’s.

The next Chevrolet Malibu is expected to be based on an updated version of GM’s Epsilon II platform with similarly updated carryover motors.
