The 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S600 starts at $189,350

Pinkies up ladies and gents as Mercedes-Benz just recently confirmed that one can acquire the new Mercedes-Maybach S600 for just $189,350, without that pesky $925 destination charge–though with one spending this amount of dough, such a fee is probably irrelevant.

What does that buy? The most luxurious Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan to date, however, it is not the most expensive, which would be the top-dot $222,000 S65 AMG. It is marked up above the standard V12 S600 model however, and that goes for $166,900.

Separating the Maybach S600 from the standard S-Class is an extended wheelbase by 7.9 inches and lots of Maybach badges all around, indicative of the fact that Mercedes wasn’t willing to let the brand name go, despite the fact the original Maybach revival from the 2000s was an awful flop.

Of course, there’s also lots of extra kit and amenities to make sure the 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S600’s price is justified.
