The 2016 Toyota Tacoma–it’s here and heading to Detroit

The 2015 Detroit Auto Show is next week and as a result, automakers are beginning to reveal their debuts at the Cobo Center–this latest one being the all-new 2016 Toyota Tacoma.

The Tacoma was put on high alert after General Motors revealed their all-new entrants into the midsize pickup segment, which needed a significant resuscitation. That said, Toyota made sure to rework their midsize pickup.

Details aren’t plenty and they consist mainly of pictures just to showcase what it will look like. Either way, the redesign is very much welcome, considering the outgoing model has been with us, pretty much unchanged, for over a decade.

Under the skin however, we expect the same level of toughness and ruggedness, along with Toyota’s typical use of their 4.0L V6 along with the option of a base model with a four-cylinder.

Stay tuned as more information surfaces on the new 2016 Toyota Tacoma.
