Report: Rolls-Royce to make final decision on SUV this year

Rolls-Royce has been rumors to be concocting an SUV, despite their official position against any sort of model not too long ago, for reasons being that it would clash with the brand’s identity.

However, Bentley has been pressuring Rolls to change their minds as Bentley themselves are working on their own crossover SUV, a first ever for the brand, thanks to the deep resources of Volkswagen AG.

Rolls-Royce, being a direct competitor with Bentley, might actually be interested in matching the move to create an SUV. But according to AutomotiveNews, the project has been on hold as Rolls is still pondering about regarding whether or not to approve the SUV for production. Either way, we will know for sure sometime this year, says AN, who spoke with Rolls-Royce’s current CEO, Torsten Muller-Oetvoes.
