Report: Alfa Romeo’s new midsize sedan to be called Giulia after all, might get new name for US

Alfa Romeo is known to be working on a new midsize sedan to compete against the BMW 5-Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. However, rumors have been bouncing back and forth as to what Alfa will call the new sedan, which continues the brand’s onslaught of introducing new models in the US amid their big reintroduction.

The new model is codenamed, Tipo 952, or Type 952, and is actually expected to be called the Giulia after numerous reports in the past suggested the new sedan would get a different name. This latest update hails in fromĀ AutoEdizione in Italy, who heard that while the new sedan should be called Giulia, it might be called something totally different in the US, like “6C.”

Nothing has been confirmed however, though the “6C” moniker is said to stand for the model’s only offering of V6 motors. But again, nothing’s official.
