Mercedes got around to revealing the GLE not too long ago and given the fact they love to give nearly every model they make a full-fledged AMG treatment, the GLE is no different. That said, it’s only a matter of time until we see a GLE 63 AMG.
Power is expected to be supplied by AMG’s new standard 4.0L twin-turbo V8 from the new AMG GT, which is also the same motor in the new C63 AMG, except in a different state of tune. No specifics to the potential GLE 63’s mill were disclosed. But it won’t be a small figure since the AMG GT’s version can produce either 463hp or 510hp for the S model, while the C63 churns out 476hp and 510hp in S form.
