The current Nissan Sentra is a far-cry from being a truly competitive in its segment, from being down on power and being fitted with character-robbing CVT transmission, all in the name of economy.
But nonetheless, the Sentra carries on for the 2015 model year, starting at $16,480 as a starting price, excluding the usual $825 destination fee. Updates are limited to a range of new standard equipment, including USB and Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, automatic headlights, and illuminated steering wheel controls.
Moving up the trim levels results in the usual increase in equipment and price, with the next level up being the SV for $18,300, which according to Nissan is the most popular model. This adds a front armrest, a smart keyless-go ignition, a rear-view camera, Nissan Connect with a five-inch infotainment screen with Sirius XM radio, a leather steering-wheel and shift knob, and all of the standard equipment from the base model.
Lastly are the SR and the range-topping SL, topping out the starting prices at $20,670.
