Photo Leak: The 2016 BMW 7-Series gets leaked by some spotter photos

It appears BMW may or may not have intentionally let the 2016 BMW 7-Series slip out into the open, completely undisguised as some new photos of the next-generation model have surfaced from some user-submitted photos, uploaded by AutoBuzz.

The design appears to be far more streamlined than the current 7-Series, making the outgoing model look stodgy and blocky. The profile is definitely sleeker, which takes inspiration from the recent BMW Vision Future Luxury Concept from the 2014 Beijing Auto Show.

Lots of new details and features are expected to show up in the new 7-Series, all of which should most likely find their way into lesser, smaller models. For instance, the next 7-Series is expected to go on a massive diet, a Rolls-Royce-sourced V12 for the flagship 760, a bespoke front passenger infotainment system, and even BMW’s next-generation of six-cylinder engines.

Unfortunately, M7 plans are still absent period, keeping the Mercedes-Benz S-Class AMG, the Audi S8 and the Jaguar XJR all in their own league. Either way, expect plenty of motivation, the inclusion of an updated four-cylinder turbo gas model, as well as the usual array of turbocharged inline-six and V8 engines for standard models.
