Report: Mercedes-Benz C350e plug-in hybrid order books to open next month

Mercedes-Benz Passion reports the order books for the new C350e plug-in hybrid should open sometime next month for European customers. Mercedes-Benz has been floating around in the rumor pool with word that they plan on increasing their hybrid and plug-in hybrid options for their customers–this new C350e is one of those models.

The new 2016 Mercedes-Benz C350e comes with a 2.0L turbocharged four-banger good for 208hp mated to an electric motor good for 80bhp, which gets juice from an 8.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The result is an all-electric range of up to 20 miles while fuel economy is rated at 112 mpg US for the combined cycle when the gas engine kicks in.

There are no specifics for US-bound models, but deliveries should commence in Europe sometime within the first quarter of next year.
