Report: The 2016 Chevrolet Malibu to get “groundbreaking” new design

The current Chevrolet Malibu isn’t exactly a very exciting or thrilling car to look at or drive. But thankfully, it’s not ugly either. GM knows this and apparently, they’re remedying the issue by giving the next Malibu some flare, some “groundbreaking” flare, according to GM’s executive vice president of global product development, Mark Reuss.

Reuss obviously didn’t disclose any specifics, but he’s promising some new designs for the future as he plans to make Chevrolet’s cars more dramatic and distinctive in the styling department.

The next Malibu is said to get its backbone from a modified version of the Epsilon II platform and while featuring similar engines as the current model.
