Video: Watch this tuned Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 decimate some other performance icons

There’s nothing like the classic feeling of being unbeatable on the road, particularly in the performance department. But every now and then, you’ll come across another vehicle which is just as capable, if not more capable than your own and sometimes, you find out the hard way.

This is sort of what happens when an unassuming but still rather potent first-gen Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 shows up at a drag race event along with some other potent performance icons.

Except this isn’t any ordinary Jeep GC SRT8 as it’s been tuned by the owner to displace 7.4L while also sporting two turbochargers, for a result or around 840hp. Just for comparative purposes, the base first-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 comes with a naturally-aspirated 6.1L HEMI V8.
