Video: Hennessey gives the GMC Yukon Denali 665bhp–because why not

The motor world is in a bit of a celebratory mood after gas prices have fallen to all-time lows with future predictions seeing even lower prices than today. Whether or not that coincides with Hennessey’s latest reveal is beyond our interpretation, but either way, the tuning firm decided to give a GMC Yukon Denali 665bhp like it was no big deal.

Yup, you read correctly. Hennessey now can make you a GMC Yukon Denali with 665bhp and 658 lb-ft of twist. The result is a near three-ton leviathan that can sprint from 0-60 in nearly the same time as a BMW335i M Sport at 4.5 seconds with a 13.1 quarter mile at 110 mph. That’s 245hp and 198 lb-ft more than the standard model.

This happens thanks to a the Yukon Denali’s 6.2L V8 being reworked with an HPE650 supercharger package, which includes an intercooler, a high-flow cylinder head, new performance camshafts, and a reprogrammed ECU.
