Report: The next Nissan Z successor to have multiple engine options

Previously in the last two recent generations, Nissan’s Z sports coupe and convertible were and are still only available with Nissan’s usual VQ-based V6. Now, the next generation model could have multiple engine options, according to Australia’s CarAdvice.

In addition to the usual, V6, the Z could gain a new base 2.0L turbocharged four option for the next generation. There’s even been whiff of a possible naturally-aspirated base four-cylinder engine model in addition to the turbo-four, just to give buyers options. And that’s also because the Nissan Z is a sports car lover’s delight.

Word comes after the outlet spoke with Nissan’s corporate vice president of marketing and brand strategy, Roel de Vries.
