Nissan announces 2015 Murano U.S. pricing

New third-generation design debuts at Los Angeles Auto Show with bold styling, premium interior and a starting M.S.R.P. of $29,560 USD

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nissan today announced U.S. pricing for the all-new 2015 Nissan Murano, which made its production debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The new Murano is scheduled to arrive at Nissan dealers nationwide beginning on December 5, 2014.

While Murano has always stood out from ordinary crossovers with its refined yet daring and futuristic design, the new third-generation design kicks it up many notches with its concept car-like styling, premium interior and advanced, purposeful technology.

The 2015 Murano is offered in four trim levels – S, SV, SL and Platinum – and in a choice of front-wheel or all-wheel drive. The starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices* (MSRP) for the Murano S FWD is $29,560 USD, while the top-of-the-line Murano Platinum AWD is priced at $40,600 USD. Just three option packages are offered for the well-equipped Murano: Navigation Package (S), Premium Package (SV) and Tech Package (SL, Premium).

Every 2015 Murano comes with a standard 3.5-liter DOHC V6 connected to an advanced Xtronic transmission. Fuel economy has increased 20 percent combined city/highway mpg from the previous generation, thanks in part to reduced weight (approximately 145 pounds), low rolling resistance tires, air grille shutter, low 0.31 Cd, underbody covers that enhance underbody airflow and improvements to the Xtronic transmission.

About the 2015 Nissan Murano
The 2015 Nissan Murano’s new magnetic exterior design projects a sense of refined intensity, creating an immediate “wow” response. As the halo vehicle for Nissan’s expanding range of bold crossovers and SUVs, the latest Murano also expresses a new Nissan design direction – including its V-motion front end, LED boomerang lights and the unique “floating” roof. The breakthrough exterior design carries into the interior, which offers an engaging social lounge feel through features such as the refined instrument panel, low center console, advanced Zero Gravity front and outboard rear seating, and the airy atmosphere created by the large windows and oversized Power Panoramic Moonroof.

Available technology features include NissanConnectSM with Navigation and Mobile Apps, 8-inch color display with multi-touch control, Around View® Monitor, 8-way power driver’s seat with power lumbar support, SiriusXM® Satellite Radio (SiriusXM subscription required, sold separately), Nissan Intelligent Key® with Push Button Ignition, iPod® interface, 11-speaker Bose® premium audio system, and Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System.

Responsive driving is provided by a standard 3.5-liter DOHC V6 rated at 260 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque. The standard Xtronic transmission offers sporty response and smoothness and includes a new D-step Logic Control that simulates shifts, giving a more natural acceleration feeling without holding a high rpm constant. Murano is available in front-wheel drive or Intuitive All-Wheel Drive.

Handling and steering have also been enhanced through the use of new rebound springs and more rigid stabilizer bars, along with a quicker steering ratio and reduced steering angle – resulting in a tighter turning radius.

Available safety and security systems include Around View® Monitor (AVM) with Moving Object Detection (MOD), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Predictive Forward Collision Warning (PFCW) and Forward Emergency Braking (FEB). When you are backing out of a parking space, the new Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) system utilizes radar sensors to help warn you of a moving vehicle you may not see approaching from either side.

The all-new 2015 Murano is offered in eight well-equipped models: S FWD, S AWD, SV FWD, SV AWD, SL FWD, SL AWD, Platinum FWD and Platinum AWD. It is assembled in Canton, Mississippi.
