Report: Cadillac’s CEO confirms $250,000 model to arrive in about 15 years

Big news rings in from Cadillac following the Los Angeles Auto Show. Reuters sat down with Cadillac’s new CEO, Johan de Nysschen, who confirmed to be establishing plans for a super luxurious model to compete against the likes of Rolls-Royce and Bentley with a projected starting price of around $250,000.

“It is too early today for a $250,000 Cadillac,” de Nysschen said to Reuters during their interview. “Fifteen years from now, it won’t be.”

Cadillac may seem a bit far away from being capable of making a $250,000 car at the moment, especially when their most expensive model is the Escalade EST Platinum, which rings in at $97,940 for starters. But with the company’s growing trends treating them well so far, this could very much be a possibility.
