Land Rover to reveal production US-spec Discovery Sport this week at LA

Land Rover will be getting some of the spotlight at LA this year as they reveal the new US-spec production Discovery Sport, following the Discovery Sport’s original concept debuting at the New York Auto Show earlier this year.

Set to replace the antiquated LR2, the new Discover Sport picks up the task of being the brand’s entry-level model.

It’s set to begin selling next year with a base 2.0L turbocharged four-banger good for 240bhp and it’ll most likely be one of Jaguar-Land Rover’s new Ingenium mills. Transferring the power to the axles is a ZF-sourced nine-speed automatic with a capable all-wheel drive system.
